Tirage numéroté "Alain Prost alias le professeur" par Morgan Mathurin

L'occasion pour moi de revoir Alain Prost enfiler sa combinaison lors du Grand Prix Historique de France 2024. Devant toute la foule, cette photographie en noir et blanc capture néanmoins un moment d'intimité et de concentration, juste avant de monter dans sa monoplace. J'ai l'impression d'assister à un moment unique en sa compagnie.

Je profite de la lumière vive en pleine journée. Le mur en bord tout blanc, reflétait la lumière sur le visage du "Professeur" qui pourtant est en contre-jour.

Après toutes ces années de retraite, on ressent encore la tension et l'adrénaline avant d'enfiler le casque. Elle nous invite à nous glisser dans la peau du "Professeur", à ressentir sa concentration et sa détermination. Cette photo pour moi, immortalise le grand pilote qu'il est : 4 titres de champion du Monde, 51 victoires en Grand Prix. Il est incontestablement le plus grand pilote de F1 français.

This was my chance to see Alain Prost put on his racing suit at the 2024 French Historic Grand Prix. In front of the whole crowd, this black-and-white photograph nevertheless captures a moment of intimacy and concentration, just before he gets into his single-seater. I feel like I'm witnessing a unique moment in his company.

I took advantage of the bright midday light. The white wall reflected the light onto the face of “The Professor,” who was nevertheless backlit.

Even after all these years of retirement, you can still feel the tension and adrenaline before he puts on his helmet. It invites us to slip into the shoes of “The Professor,” to feel his concentration and determination. For me, this photo immortalizes the great driver that he is: 4 world championship titles, 51 Grand Prix victories. He is undoubtedly the greatest French F1 driver.
